Visit Memento Park, located 10km southwest of the city centre, for a mind-blowing experience. Marvel at the over 40 statues, busts and plaques of Lenin, Marx, Béla Kun and other admired figures from the past, all of which have been discarded elsewhere. Imagine that some of these relics were only erected as late as the late 1980s, and be swept away by the socialist realism.
