The iconic Matthias Church dates back over 500 years, its most notable historical features being the carvings above the southern entrance. The church is named after King Matthias Corvinus, who married Queen Beatrix here in 1474. However, its current neo-Gothic design was created by architect Frigyes Schulek in 1896.
