The imposing octagonal water tower, which stands 57 meters tall, was built in 1911 and is located in the north-central part of Margaret Island. Those willing to make the climb up the 152 steps to the Lookout Gallery (Kilátó Galéria) atop the tower are rewarded with a 360-degree view of the island, of which the majority is composed of treetops. To the south is the open-air theatre, a popular summer venue for concerts and plays.
